Finally!

Swimming in the lake - finally!
This is one happy Cavapoo - but come bedtime she'll be so grumpy and tired from a hard day of playing in the lake, if you even look at her, she'll give you the grrrrrr.

Come on Let's Go Swimming

Hurry Up! What's taking you so long. Come on already - please, please hurry. Chloe is a true lake puppy. Running down the sidewalk to the lake, yipping with excitement all the way. As soon as she reaches the dock she doesn't even give Kelvin a chance to get the doggy dock secured to the dock before she is on it and in the water. She loves her daily swim.

Finally on the Lake

Finally after following a very, very slow overloaded trailer full of pinestraw we've made it to the lake for the weekend. Tonight was the typical quick and easy dinner in order to take Sage for her evening boat ride. She loves boat rides. With her big ears flopping in the wind and her nose stuck high up in the air she rides up the lake eagerly anticipating the smell of a grill. Chloe is always content as co-pilot sitting in my lap in the captains chair.
Sometimes it's just the little things like a peaceful boat ride on a quiet evening that make life so sweet.

Update on Sage

Sage is feeling so much better these days thanks to Dr. Wesley Roach, DVM at the University of Georgia's Small Animal Teaching Hospital http://www.vet.uga.edu.com/. In May we took her up for a full day of testing and exams. I won't lie it was a very rough experience but she rallied back and started on the suggested treatment for her diagnosis of : Immune Mediated Poly-Arthritis. She has been huge doses of prednisone since May. Over the months it has slowly tappered down to a smaller dose. She acts like she feels better than she has in a very long time. She's playing with her favorite squeaky tennis balls, hanging around outside more and has generally just been alot more playful. Sometimes a little too playful! or maybe devilish is a better word.

Her new rule is "If I can reach it then I can have it" this new rule applies to everything from a loaf of bread on the kitchen counter or a Weight Watchers Hungry Harry refrigerator magnet off the frig door. Not to mention the socks don't stand a fighting chance around our house with Sage. She has always, always had a sock fetish since the day she came home as a puppy. To date she has swallowed and give back (from one end or the other) 30 socks in her almost six (6) years now. Yes, I know she really needs therapy. I just haven't found someone who will hypnotize Great Danes with a sock fetish. Let me know when you find someone.
